The Manuka tree has long been used by the indigenous Māori people of New Zealand as a medicinal tree, with its seeds, bark, and roots widely utilized. Our Strong Manuka Oil is a 100% pure essential oil extracted from the leaf stalks of the Manuka tree through steam distillation. It boasts exceptional antibacterial activity and powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
This product contains about 70% sesquiterpene hydrocarbons and 30% triketones. Multiple types of sesquiterpene hydrocarbons abundantly present. This composition of oil is unique among plant oils, and is believed to have excellent anti-allergic, anti-itch, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Since it naturally contains protective compounds derived from the tree itself, it offers the benefits of nature without the side effects associated with artificial medications—particularly steroids, hormone-based treatments, or synthetic antihistamines.
