Dilution: 10–20% Manuka oil mixed with 80–90% carrier oil. There have been many reports that applying this product to conditions such as atopic dermatitis, various allergic skin disorders, and bacterial skin  infections caused by dermatophytes (such as athlete’s foot and ringworm) has quickly relieved itching and improved inflammation. This is believed to be due to the synergistic effects of its anti-inflammatory, anti-itch, and antibacterial properties.

Additionally, the diluted oil is expected to be beneficial for allergic rhinitis and insect bites. Jojoba oil is particularly recommended as a carrier oil, but other plant-based oils, such as olive oil, can also be used. You may purchase carrier  oils from pharmacies. Note: Edible oils are not recommended due to concerns regarding additives and purity.

■Mixing with White Petrolatum

White petrolatum (available at pharmacies) can be mixed with 10–20% Strong Manuka Oil for use. The above ratio is a guideline, so please adjust the amount to suit your needs.

■Mixing with Strong Manuka Honey

A homemade ointment combining 20% Strong Manuka Oil with our Strong Manuka Honey offers synergistic benefits. Since both ingredients are  derived from the same Manuka tree—active raw Manuka honey from its blossoms and Manuka essential oil—this mixture is expected to exhibit powerful activity.

This product has remarkable efficacy in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, a known aggravating factor in atopic dermatitis and  other skin conditions. The combined use of Strong Manuka Honey and Strong Manuka Oil often yields excellent results due to their synergistic  antibacterial effects. This mixture acts as a natural antibacterial agent, surpassing even certain pharmaceutical products in combating harmful  bacteria. The antimicrobial activity of both ingredients has been scientifically validated. For application on skin conditions, apply the mixture to the affected area and secure it with gauze as a topical dressing.

Replace the dressing 2 to 3 times a day. Before each application, cleanse the affected area with a medicated soap (available at pharmacies), dry  it thoroughly, and then reapply the mixture in the same manner. Secure it with a bandage or tape. If it is difficult, apply a thin layer of the  honey and essential oil mixture directly to the skin. Additionally, warming the mixture will make it more liquid-like. To prevent stickiness, you can lightly dust the treated area with talcum powder (baby powder) after application.

It has remarkable benefits for burns, infectious allergic dermatitis, acne, lacerations, otitis externa, mouth ulcers, and periodontal disease.  Many of our customers have found the best mixing ratio of Strong Manuka Honey that suits them and have achieved excellent results.  As the MGO level increases, its effectiveness becomes more remarkable even in small amounts, so we encourage you to try it.

Usage with Humidifiers

Adding a few drops of Strong Manuka Oil to a humidifier can help purify the air. As it is made from 100% natural ingredients, it is safe for small  children and pets. Additionally, Strong Manuka Oil can be used as a natural insect repellent, helping to deter mosquitoes and assisting in  the prevention and removal of fleas and ticks on pets. It is not an insecticide, so it can be used safely.

Usage Guidelines for Strong Manuka Oil

For those using it for various allergic conditions or atopic dermatitis, many customers repurchase the 50ml bottle (large size) approximately every three months. This oil is one of the most oxidation-resistant essential oils and is less prone to deterioration. Storing it in the refrigerator further slows the  oxidation process, which is recommended. For the 10ml bottle (small size), customers using it as described above tend to repurchase it approximately every 20 days.

Storage Instructions for Strong Manuka Oil

While it is possible to store at room temperature, it is recommended to keep it in the refrigerator to slow down oxidation. The shelf life is three  years for unopened bottles, and once opened, it should be used within one year.

・Due to the strong potency of the undiluted oil, dilute it before use.
・Before using, perform a patch test to check for any sensitivity.
・Not only for our Strong Manuka Oil but for any essential oil, it is generally not recommended for internal use or application on mucous membranes. 

We advise using it only when diluted, or for topical application in combination with carrier oils or Strong Manuka Honey.  Any other use may cause reactions in individuals with sensitive constitutions. Additionally, there is no scientific data supporting oral consumption,  so if used in this way, it is entirely at the user’s own risk.
